If you don't know who he is...
This is James Altucher.
He's a millionaire hedge fund manager, investor, author and creative master.
He's also our inspiration for the 10ideas creativity journal.
Check out what he has to say about brainstorming below.
"Every day I write down ideas. I write down so many ideas that it hurts my head to come up with one more. Then I try to write down five more …
The “idea muscle” atrophies within days if you don’t use it. Just like walking. If you don’t use your legs for a week, they atrophy. You need to exercise the idea muscle. It takes about 3–6 months to build up once it atrophies. Trust me on this." Read his post on brainstorming .

How it works
Pick a subject.
Any subject. Could be a problem that needs a solution. Or something you want to improve. Or books you want to write. It really doesn't matter.
Then, you just come up with 10 ideas (or more). Some of them will be good. Some of them will be awful. Some will be stupid. Don't judge yourself. Just let the ideas flow.
When you do this every day, you'll notice a big change. Ideas will come easier. And faster. And better. Pretty soon, you'll notice a positive transformation in every aspect of your life.
I can already feel the difference...
I never considered myself to be a creative person. Sure, I had my moments. It's not like people didn't say: That's a good idea. But I knew I had more in me, you know? So, I started doing the 10idea a day exercise and the difference is glaring. Every problem I have. It's like I can come up with a whole bunch of solutions. I'm also feeling more energized and optimistic. Not sure if related... but could be!
Absolutely love it.
I really enjoy my new little routine and i feel very optimistic about the future, I feel it takes time to make it a habit but that's how you embrace change
I love this book so much I bought it for myself and one of my friends but now I feel like buying it for everyone I know, it's fantastic.
My kind of journal
I am guilty of having collected dozens of journals and notebooks throughout my life, with the same results every time: excitedly writing in them for a few days (or a few weeks if I'm lucky) and then slowly forgetting about them- mostly due to the amount of time and energy it takes to keep one up. If you're like me- this is the perfect answer! It truly takes 5 minutes to fill out the section and it is difficult to find an excuse NOT to do it each day. Has been fuelling my creativity every day. :)
The power of doing something every day.
This is great! As someone who hasn’t been able to build a journaling habit - ever - this journal has finally gotten me there. It’s super easy jot down your ideas as they come..
It’s also nice to use a real book - I do all my reading and working on mobile devices and laptops, so this is pretty much the only paper-based book-type product that I use. It’s refreshing to hold the linen cover and feel the thick pages. Which sounds weird, but hey, I guess I miss books.
Going on #2
I did it! I’m almost to the end of my 6 months and I ordered my second journal. Never have been able to stick to journaling. I purchased this as the result of my coaches recommendation. It has helped me become more creative and make positive changes in my life. This journal is so subtle but powerful. They designed to to help get my creative juices flowing.... So glad I discovered it and I will always have it with me traveling and by my bedside. The First thing I do in the morning to start my day
I noticed a change
Honestly, I balked at the price. I am glad I gave in and got this for myself, though. I have never been a "journal-er". I am really bad keeping stuff like this.. This daily journal, however, keeps me on target and gets in me in the right/creative frame of mind. I have been using for a few weeks and I do notice I'm more positive and don't struggle as much with creative tasks.
Takes less than 10 minutes
I have bought and tried various journals and I just never stuck with them. I love this one because it literally takes you five minutes. It is simple, structured, and focuses on triggering creative thoughts.I have done it for the past 7 days now and I see myself continuing. I already feel that it sets me up better for the day and I feel more focused on what is important. Ready to tackle any challenges. I love it so much that I bought another one to gift it to a client. She loved it.
